Service Description

Private sessions may be useful for anyone looking for a more personalised Yin Yoga experience. Steph also offers gentle touch to support your body as you practise, inviting a deeply nourishing and relaxing experience. Yin Yoga is a still, meditative style of Yoga where asanas (poses) are practised sitting or lying on the floor.  Yoga props (bolsters, blankets, blocks) are used to support your body to find ease.  We stay in each asana for up to five minutes, allowing space for the Yin connective tissues of your body (fascia, ligaments and tendons) to be worked, removing energy blockages and inviting greater energy flow. Yin Yoga has roots in Chinese Medicine. Yin asanas access meridian lines (energy lines) in your body, clearing and nourishing your organs and whole body.  Yin practice supports relaxation as you are invited to soften and let go, accessing the Parasympathetic Nervous System allowing rest and rejuvenation.  The practise of Yin supports you to clear and balance energy at all levels of your being; physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, inviting deep healing.
